The Donau-Arena is a multi-purpose facility. It replaced the Eisstadion at the Nibelungenbrücke in 1999 as the home of the Eisbären Regensburg ice hockey team. It is also regularly used for events such as exhibitions and concerts. The arena is named after the public utility company Stadtwerke Regensburg and is officially called das.Stadtwerk Donau-Arena.
